Life Drawings

These are a small fraction of the drawings that Dalrymple created as a student and later as a professor in classroom demonstrations. In class Dalrymple used rough paper such as newsprint and brown paper grocery sacks for the class demonstrations drawings used as warm up exercises.  Model sittings were very short:  lasting from several minutes to 20 minutes.   These drawings as well as student drawings were thumbtacked to the wall, lining the drawing studio from floor to ceiling demonstrating the quality of work  generated in his classes through his teaching career.
